How MicroFIT Works

There are three key steps involved in the MicroFIT Program:

Step 1: Submit an application and receive conditional offer

1. WWSolar will help you register with the OPA for the MicroFIT Program
2. The OPA will review your application and you will be sent a “Conditional Offer of MicroFIT Contract” within 30 days. The conditional offer will expire after 12 months.

Step 2: Build and connect your project

3. WWSolar will work with your local distribution company to determine the best connection configuration for your project
4. WWSolar will help you submit a connection request form to your local distribution company
5. The system will be installed at the project location and the connection will be finalized with your local distribution company

Step 3: Accept your contract

6. Once the system is connected to the grid, your local distribution company will provide the OPA with information about your project
7. The OPA will send you a notice of MicroFIT Contract offer
8. After you have accepted your MicroFIT Contract, payments will be made to you for all the electricity produced by your MicroFIT project. Payments will be made by your local distribution company on behalf of the OPA.
